A: Once permit is obtained for the structure(s) in violations and all inspections have a passed, a Certificate of Compliance can be obtained by paying a minimum fee of $120.00 in ance with Section 8.04 of Regulations for Flood Plain Management in Harris County in order to clear title.

Since 1931, all residential buildings in Austin have been required to have a Certificate of Occupancy (CO) for their current use.

Residential permits apply to any development that occurs on private property and not for commercial use. Examples would include: mobile homes; additions to existing homes; swimming pools; porches; private paving; garages; new home construction; patios; and, any structural repair.
