Non-tenured teachers will have at least three required observations each year.

The average mean teaching evaluation score is 4.3, and the median is 4.5, both well above the “official” average rating of 3.0 on the 1 to 5 scale. There are quite a few perfect and near perfect scores, while there are very few scores below 3.

The goal of the TEAM evaluation process is to provide educators with a model that helps them continuously improve their practice.

Any teacher (professional or practitioner) who previously scored a 5 on his or her overall evaluation or individual growth measure will be required to have one unannounced classroom visit covering three observation domains, as well as two walk-throughs.

The TIGER Teacher Evaluation Model was developed by practitioners within the Association of Independent of Municipal Schools (AIMS) districts for practitioners. The model is designed to promote teacher growth and to ensure all teachers provide quality instruction that aligns with district goals and curriculum.

The LOE, also referred to as the final evaluation score, is the evaluation score for an educator that combines qualitative measures, growth measures, and achievement measures.
