Veterans who apply for and are approved for Clothing Allowance benefits before August 1 will be compensated for the previous year's service. However, a Veteran who submits an application for Clothing Allowance after August 1 will not be compensated until the next year.

Use VA Form 21-526EZ when you want to apply for VA disability compensation (pay) and related benefits.

You can file your increase request on VA.GOV or by filling out a VA Form 21-526b. If you have medical information from a private doctor, you must submit a VA Form 21-4142, which authorizes that doctor to share information with the VA.
