Transcripts for Schools in North Carolina Go to .cfnc.org. You will need to create a CFNC account or retrieve your account. Click on Apply. Click on Transcript Manager. Follow the prompts. CFNC transcripts are free.

To obtain a copy of your High School Transcript, contact the school district from which you graduated. Enclose a certified check or money order payable to the New York State Education Department: $4.00 for a copy of a transcript (only passing transcripts result in a diploma) $10.00 for copy of diploma and transcript.

To obtain a transcript from a California public school, you will need to contact the school directly. If the school is closed, we suggest contacting the local school district or the County Office of Education for assistance. Contact information for these entities may be obtained from the California School Directory.

Requesting Transcripts from a Public School (US) You can usually request your transcripts from your high school's registrar, student services, or student counseling office. If you aren't sure who to contact, call your school's main information line.

To get an official copy of your transcript, contact your school's registrar. In most cases, you don't even have to call or go in person; the registrar's office may have an online form for requesting your transcript. You can usually pay the transcript fee online too.

College transcripts do not expire and schools are obligated to maintain transcripts for all students who have enrolled in and attended their institution — regardless of whether or not that student graduated.

Colleges can see which schools transferees previously attended upon the receipt of the academic transcript and/or financial aid transcript. The Common App for Transfer or a proprietary application also asks about previous schools. However, it usually does not have a bearing on the admissions decisions.

While schools are not required to keep education records for any set period of time under federal law, California's state laws differ. Here, school districts must keep educational records for three years after they stop being “useful” — which typically means three years after your child has left the district.
