Thirty alumnae Sorors came together to charter this dynamic chapter that now represents one of seventeen graduate chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha in metro Atlanta, boasting a membership of 300 women spanning inter-generational ages.

With the theme, Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood, the 2022-2026 administration seeks to build upon Alpha Kappa Alpha's rich legacy of service by galvanizing our sisterhood of more than 120,000 active members to lead on the front lines of change, education, and advocacy.

AKA was the first African-American Greek-letter sorority, and its founders are referred to as the “Twenty Pearls.” Pearls have long been the emblem of the sorority, and every new member is given a badge with 20 pearls.

Alpha Kappa Alpha's official graduate Membership Intake Process (MIP) is by invitation only. It begins with a Letter of Invitation from a graduate chapter of the sorority and attendance at the Information Session.
