To be clear, in Florida, your vehicle may be taken by creditors to pay certain delinquent debts even though you have no car payment and own title to the vehicle free and clear. This process is referred to as levy in aid of execution and is carried out by the Sheriff's Office at the request of a judgment creditor.

You must fill out the fact information sheet after a judgment is entered. The Rules of Civil Procedure provide that a judgment creditor can ask the court to order the judgment debtor to complete the fact information sheet and return it to the creditor, with related documents, within 45 days.

If the debtor does not complete the Fact Information Sheet by a court-ordered deadline, the creditor may ask the court for an order providing a new deadline, after which the debtor could be held in contempt of court for failing to complete and serve the fact information sheet on time.

In fact, some creditors may (illegally) threaten to do just this. But in fact, in Florida, a judgment creditor cannot take your house.

After a judgment is entered against you, the judgment creditor can garnish your bank account and wages, require you to reveal all assets belonging to you, and place a lien on any non-homestead property. However, Florida law cannot impose criminal liability for not paying a civil money judgment.
