All F and M students that study in the United States need a Form I-20, “Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status.” Once accepted into a Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP)-certified school, international students will receive a Form I-20 from their designated school official (DSO).

The I-20 must be valid during the period of enrollment. The period of the I-20 is listed on the first page of the form. The visa period is on the visa stamp.

The first step is to apply to a SEVP-approved school in the United States. After the SEVP-approved school accepts your enrollment, you will be registered for the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) and must pay the SEVIS I-901 fee. The SEVP-approved school will issue you a Form I-20.

International first-year fall start applicants. Full-tuition scholarship; the scholarship is not applicable to room and board or annual fees. Drexel Global Scholars are expected to comply fully with freshman housing requirements.
