The Florida court system is comprised of the Supreme Court, six district courts of appeal, 20 circuit courts and 67 county courts.

The case management order shall specify the projected date of trial; indicate that the deadlines set forth in the case management order will be strictly enforced by the Court; and that a firm trial date will be ordered by the Court when the case is at issue pursuant to Florida Rule of Civil Procedure 1.440.

The Florida court system is comprised of the Supreme Court, six district courts of appeal, 20 circuit courts and 67 county courts.

The County Courts in Florida have jurisdiction over criminal traffic cases and misdemeanor criminal cases. A misdemeanor is any criminal offense that is punishable by a term of imprisonment in a county correctional facility for less than one (1) year.

The main purpose of the CMC is to grant flexibility and agency to both the parties and the court in their efforts of bringing the case to a settlement or trial. By attending a CMC, both parties may have the opportunity to expedite the progress in their trial and avoid the consequences of prolonged litigation.

Circuit courts have general trial jurisdiction over matters not assigned by statute to the county courts and also hear appeals, if authorized by the Florida Statutes, of decisions in certain administrative, noncriminal infraction, and other types of cases.

Unless the presiding judge determines otherwise, streamlined cases are uncontested cases, cases not entitled to jury trial, or cases where a jury trial is not demanded. However, all civil cases within the County Court jurisdiction are designated as streamlined cases unless otherwise determined by the presiding judge.

Case Management Statement (CM-110) Tells the court information about the progress of a case, so the court can determine when the case will be ready for trial or some other means of resolving the dispute. Filed and served at least 15 days before a case management conference.
