5. Fill out the financial information section. Indicate your marital status and if you are a dependent for tax purposes. Based on your status, complete either the Dependent Student’s Section or the Independent Student’s Section.
6. If you are a dependent student, enter your information, including occupation, employer, income, household size, and details about dependents. Include information about your parents or guardians if applicable.
7. If you identify as an independent student, provide your information, including your and your spouse's occupation, employer, income, household size, and details about dependents.
8. In the additional information section, check any statements that apply to you, such as being a veteran or first-generation college student.
9. Complete the personal essay requirement. Write and attach a one-page essay detailing your background, challenges faced, goals, and community involvement.
10. Finally, review your application for accuracy, sign and date it to confirm that the information is correct, then save, download, print, or share your completed form as required.
