Pressure Washing You might want to grab a pressure washer and get to work. However, pressure washing can damage the shingles. With the high velocity of the water, the shingles cannot hold up to that pressure. In turn, it could nullify your GAF warranty.

Generally speaking, a hurricane is considered an Act of God. Whether your warranty is voided because of hurricane force winds depends on the wording of your contract and warranty. An Act of God waiver or disclaimer may act to eliminate a roofer's liability for potential warranty claims.

This limited warranty may be transferred only once. The second owner must notify GAF in writing within one year after the property transfer for warranty coverage to be transferred.
