Inwards registers recorded the date of receipt, from whom, the date and subject of the letter and how the letter was disposed of (ie dealt with).

Inward processing allows imported raw materials or semi-manufactured goods to be processed for re-export within the Community by Community manufacturers without a requirement that the manufacturers have to pay customs duty and VAT on the goods being used.

You can use inward processing to declare your products as duty unpaid. The products are subject to customs supervision but can be installed in finished products within a refining period, subject to authorization.

The inbound process comprises all the steps of an external procurement process{Material Inward}that occur when the goods are received. The process starts when the goods are staged at the vendoru2019s shipping point, and it ends when the ship-to party makes an acquisition posting for the goods.

Inward/outward processing of goods includes changing of the physical characteristics of goods (processing, assembly, labelling, packaging and other processing activities) undertaken by a company which is not the owner of the goods and which has not paid for the imported goods (raw materials, production materials).
