PA Schedule G-L allows Pennsylvania residents to claim a credit for taxes paid to other states or countries. This guide provides clear and detailed instructions for filling out the form online to ensure accuracy and compliance with Pennsylvania tax requirements.

Follow the steps to complete your PA Schedule G-L online.

PURPOSE OF SCHEDULE Use PA-40 Schedule B to report the amount of dividend in- come earned and reported for federal income tax purposes from: ● U.S. corporations; ● Foreign corporations; ● Mutual Funds; ● Other corporate capital investments.

Gross income is the total earned and nonearned income of the household and includes the following: (1) Employe earnings. Employe earnings are money, including wages, salaries, bonuses, commissions and tips, before taxes or other deductions, that a person receives for providing services on behalf of an employer.

Use PA Schedule G-L to calculate and report the amount of resident credit claimed for income tax, wage tax or other tax (measured by gross or net earned or unearned income) paid to another state when the other state imposes its tax on income also subject to PA personal income tax in the same taxable year.

PURPOSE OF SCHEDULE Use PA-40 Schedule T to report gambling and lottery win- nings as well as the costs for any gambling and lottery wa- gering of the taxpayer and/or spouse. Gambling and lottery winnings from any source, except non- cash prizes from playing the Pennsylvania Lottery, must be reported.

Use PA-40 Schedule E to report the amount of net income (loss) from rents royalties, patents and copyrights for indi- vidual or fiduciary (estate or trust) taxpayers. Refer to the PA Personal Income Tax Guide – Net Income (Loss) from Rents, Royalties, Copyrights and Patents sec- tion for additional information.

PA Schedule G-S is a shorter version of the form to claim the resident credit for taxes paid to other states and countries. It is intended for use only by taxpayers who have: Pennsylvania taxable compensation that is also subject to tax in other states or countries.

SCHEDULES SP It is possible that a taxpayer and spouse file jointly for fed- eral income tax purposes, but must file separately for Penn- sylvania personal income tax purposes. If qualifying for Tax Forgiveness, the taxpayer and spouse must each complete PA-40 Schedule SP as if filing jointly.

Use PA-20S/PA-65 Schedule A to report interest income of PA S corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies filing as partnerships or PA S corporations for federal income tax purposes. See PA Personal Income Tax Guide – Interest.
