Both Gary Collyer and David Meynell were members of the original ICC Working Group on the Supplement to UCP 500 for Electronic Presentation (eUCP). First published as version 1.0 on 31 March 2002, a revised version (1.1) was released in conjunction with the implementation of UCP 600 in July 2007.

The Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (Supplement for Electronic Presentation) is a supplement to the International Chamber of Commerce´s Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (UCP 600) to accommodate presentation of documents and records alone or in combination with paper documents.

The current version of the UCP, published in 2007, is ICC Publication No. 600, commonly referred to as UCP 600. The UCP does not have force of law, but must be incorporated by express reference in a letter of credit.

Scope of the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (UCP 600) Supplement for Electronic Presentations (“eUCP”)

The Uniform Customs & Practice for Documentary Credits (UCP 600) is a set of rules agreed by the International Chamber of Commerce, which apply to finance institutions which issue Letters of Credit – financial instruments helping companies finance trade.

The ICC has developed and moulded the UCP by regular revisions, the current version being the UCP 600.
