This guide provides clear instructions on how to complete the Schedule Z Additional Information Required for Net Metering Service. Whether you are applying as a host customer or for neighborhood net metering, this step-by-step overview will assist you in efficiently filling out the necessary fields online.
Follow the steps to fill out the form accurately
- Click the ‘Get Form’ button to obtain the Schedule Z form and open it in your preferred online editor.
- Begin by entering your host customer information. Fill in your name, mailing address, city, state, zip code, email address, and NSTAR account number. Ensure all details are accurate and complete.
- Section A requires you to answer whether the host customer is applying for net metering service as an electric company, generation company, aggregator, supplier, energy marketer, or energy broker. Mark 'No' or 'Yes' accordingly. If 'Yes', note that you are not eligible for net metering service.
- If you are applying as an Agricultural Net Metering Facility, complete Section B by answering the four questions regarding operational status, recognition, location, and usage of the facility's energy. Select 'Yes' or 'No' for each prompt.
- In Section C, answer the questions related to neighborhood net metering. Confirm if all participants are served by the same distribution company, ISO-NE load zone, and municipality. If any answer is 'No', the facility may not be eligible unless granted an exception.
- For Section D, decide how the host customer will report the electricity generated by the net metering facility. Choose one of the three options that fit your reporting method.
- In Section E, specify how the distribution company will apply net metering credits during billing periods. You can choose to apply all credits to the host customer’s account, allocate them to eligible customers, or do both.
- If your facility falls under Class III Net Metering, complete Section F by indicating the range representing the number of eligible customer accounts. Note that you may skip Item G depending on your answer.
- In Section G, state the total percentage of net metering credits to allocate if necessary. Remember that this total should not exceed 100%. Provide details for each customer account receiving credits.
- Section H outlines the potential for capacity payments from ISO-NE. Note that you will be informed whether the company will seek those payments after your Schedule Z submission.
- Section I details the agreement duration for Schedule Z, indicating it will remain effective until a revised version is submitted. It cannot be submitted more than twice in a calendar year.
- Finally, complete Section J by signing and dating the application. This signature confirms that you have read and authorized the contents of the application to the best of your knowledge.
- After completing the form, save your changes, download, or print a copy for your records before submitting it to the company.
