As a part of Security Executive Agent Directive (SEAD) 3, all security clearance holders must report foreign travel prior to traveling overseas. In addition to getting pre-approval, they must provide their travel itinerary to their security officer and should receive a pre-travel security briefing.

Foreign Contacts: All cleared personnel must report contacts with individuals of any foreign nationality, either within or outside the scope of their official activities, in which: "Illegal or unauthorized access is sought to classified or otherwise sensitive information.

When a clearance holder contemplates traveling abroad, an email must be sent to the FSO at least 10 business days before departure. Corporate leadership may require longer notice from the planned travel date, but it is generally advisable to notify leadership at least two weeks in advance of the planned travel date.

Cleared employees are still required to report foreign travel to their FSO in ance with the guidelines and timelines outlined in SEAD 3 and further clarified in the SEAD 3 ISL.

SEAD 3 Reporting Requirements. Unofficial Foreign Contacts: Contact with a known or suspected foreign intelligence entity. Continuing association with known foreign nationals that involve bonds of affection, personal obligation, or intimate contact; or any contact that involves the exchange of personal information.

Fill NOTIFICATION Of UNOFFICIAL PERSONAL FOREIGN TRAVEL

As an UH employee who holds a security clearance, all unofficial foreign travel is required to be reported to the Facility Security. Unofficial Travel (travel for personal reasons). Both (travel for both business and personal reasons). The employee completes the Unofficial Foreign Travel Reporting Form and returns it to DLA Troop Support security personnel. This form needs to be completed if any of the following apply: (1) travel was not previously reported, (2) travel. Employees taking personal leave in conjunction with official travel are encouraged to receive a travel threat briefing from their local ATO.
