Federal regulations require students who are receiving Title IV (federal) financial aid to make deliberate and measurable progress toward their degree to continue to receive these funds. This requirement is referred to as Satisfactory Academic Progress or SAP.

A student who does not meet the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Appeal policy is considered ineligible for financial aid.

This form is intended for students who have received a notification of financial aid suspension. Students who have not met the Satisfactory Academic Progress Standards can appeal to restore financial aid eligibility for future semesters.

Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards ensure that you are successfully completing your coursework and can continue to receive financial aid. All students receiving financial aid are required to meet SAP standards.

Financial aid regulations require that students meet specific Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements to maintain eligibility for financial aid.

If you fail to meet SAP standards, you will be placed on financial aid restriction. Students on financial aid restriction are not eligible to receive Federal, state, or institutional financial aid. However, you may be eligible to receive private (alternative) loans, which can be found here.
