Nearly all off-highway vehicles greater than 70cc, and 1976 or newer, must be registered and display a registration decal to operate legally in Nevada. The cost for an annual registration is $20.00. Applications are accepted and decals are issued by mail only.

Nevada charges a Registration Fee, a Governmental Services Tax and, in some counties, a Supplemental Governmental Services Tax. The Registration Fee funds state road construction and the DMV operating budget. The Governmental Services Tax funds local governments, school districts and the state General Fund.

The OHV Decal is available for purchase online at ServiceArizona.com or at a Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) Office or Authorized Third Party Provider. The cost is $25.00. The decal is valid for one year. It is the ATV/OHV owner's responsibility to purchase subsequent year decals.

OHV decals can be renewed at AZMVDNow.gov and more information on OHV registration and decals are available on the ADOT website. The Arizona Game and Fish website has information on OHV rules and regulations.

Violations of state OHV laws are class 2 or 3 misdemeanors and carry a maximum penalty of up to 4 months in jail and $750 in fines plus surcharges and probation. Likewise, a judge can order a defendant to complete 8-24 hours of community service or complete an OHV training course.

Off-highway Vehicle Decals All resident and non-resident off-highway vehicles (OHVs) designed by the manufacturer primarily for use over unimproved terrain and that weigh 2,500 pounds or less are required by law to display a valid OHV decal to operate on public and state trust lands in Arizona.

OHV decals are valid for one year from date of purchase. Before visiting an MVD or Authorized Third Party office, please complete the Off-Highway Vehicle Decal Application . The initial decal may be purchased at the same time your OHV is titled and registered. The fee for the decal is $25 per year.
