Four members of the board must be real estate appraisers who have been engaged in the general practice of appraising real property in this state for at least 5 years immediately preceding appointment.

150 hours, covering specific modules including the 15-hour National USPAP Course (or its equivalent as determined by the Appraisal Qualifications Board (AQB). All initial Trainee applicants must also complete the following approved courses prior to obtaining a license (these are mandatory California courses):

Licensed Real Estate Appraiser in Maryland Applicant must complete 150 hours of courses approved by the Commission and complied at least 2,000 experience hours accrued over a minimum of 24 months. There is no degree requirement for this category.

A minimum of 30 hours must be devoted to appraisal principles, and a minimum of 30 hours must be devoted to appraisal procedures; Fifteen hours must be devoted to USPAP. All qualifying education must be approved via Appraiser Qualifications Board Course Approval Program and by the Commission.

The Commission of Appraisers of Real Estate is a five-member body, appointed by the governor.

1,500 hours and encompassing no less than 12 months of acceptable appraisal experience.

The top level of appraisal license is the certified general appraiser license. This requires a total of 300 hours of course work, plus 3,000 hours of work experience and a degree. Certified general appraisers can assess the value of commercial and non-commercial properties of any value.

These individuals must: Submit a completed application. No log is required. No verification of experience is required. Submit a copy of the appraiser license from their home state and. Show proof of completing 3 hours of education in Nevada Appraisal Law.
