Form 1065-X, Amended Return or Administrative Adjustment Request (AAR)

Partnerships use Schedule B-1 (Form 1065) to provide information applicable to certain entities, individuals, and estates that own, directly or indirectly, an interest of 50% or more in the profit, loss, or capital of the partnership.

The average annual return (AAR) is a percentage that represents a mutual fund's historical average return, usually stated over three-, five-, and 10 years. Before making a mutual fund investment, investors frequently review a mutual fund's average annual return as a way to measure the fund's long-term performance.

Generally, an AAR is not like an amended return. It gives the reviewed year partner (the partner in a year that the adjustment relates to) a tax credit, but that credit can only be used in the year that AAR is filed.

Administrative adjustments are intended to provide a streamlined approval procedure for minor modifications of selected zoning standards.
