How to combine PDF files Click the Select a file button above or drag and drop files into the drop zone. Select the files you want to merge using the Acrobat PDF combiner tool. Open Acrobat to combine files: Open the Tools tab and select "Combine files." Add files: Click "Add Files" and select the files you want to include in your PDF.

On a PDF, when you set the option to print more than one document, the collate tick flag will appear. If pieces within your documents have similar characteristics then you should be able to collate them with automated equipment.

The Acrobat Combine Files tool lets you merge several PDFs into a single document for easier sharing: Go to the Tools menu in Acrobat and select Combine Files. Click Add Files or drag and drop them into the window. Rearrange your files if necessary, and choose your output settings. Click Combine to merge your files.

If you use File > Print > Print All Documents, Acrobat prints the first file collated (if you select the Collate option), then proceeds to the second file and prints all pages (again collated).

Collate means to collect and assemble printed sheets of paper within a predetermined order or sequence. Typically, all the pages in the document will print once. Once complete, the machine will repeat the process by printing a second set. This continues until the requested number of document sets is complete.

You can't really remove page breaks in a PDF. What you can do, though, is print the file to a new PDF using the Tile option (and a large enough paper size), to fit multiple pages on a single large page. There is a limit, though, to the maximum size a PDF page can have.
