The cumulative periods of active duty and full-time National Guard duty performed by the member exceed 1825 days in the previous 2190 days. All periods of active duty performed by a member who has not previously served in the Selected Reserve of the Ready Reserve.

Air Force Policy. AFI 36-2131: A reserve member desiring sanctuary must do so while on active duty and must submit the request in writing. Absent a written request, the member's release will be considered voluntary and sanctuary protection not requested.

5. The National Defense Authorization Act for FY 2005 (NDAA 05) directs that any RC Soldier who performs more than 1,095 days of active duty for operational support (ADOS) within a 1,460 day period will be counted against the national AGR end strength.

Army Policy AR 135-156: Under the provisions of 10 US Code § 12002 the authorized strength of the Army National Guard is 600,000 and of the Army Reserve is 980,000.
