Voucher Types in TallyPrime can be categorised as journals, purchases, sales, payments, receipts, contra, inventory vouchers, order vouchers, and non-accounting vouchers.

3.2.1. By default in Tally. ERP 9, there are 18 different pre-defined Voucher types (where Payroll feature is enabled, the number of pre-defined voucher types will be 20). Voucher type pertains to Accounting, Inventory and Payroll. These are used for recording various transactions ing to the user needs.
