To get reimbursed for IDT travel, you must complete the DD Form 2285, Invitational Travel Orders (ITO) - Dtic, accurately detailing your travel expenses. Collect all relevant receipts and documentation to support your claim. Submit your completed form along with the receipts to your finance officer for processing. Ensure you follow your unit's specific reimbursement procedures to avoid delays.

Members may view/print their own orders via Self-Service by clicking My Airport Terminal Orders under Tasks in the Employee pagelet. Commands may also view/print a member's TDY orders via the Airport Terminal.

Forward: Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) is travel on orders from current place of assignment to a specified destination(s) and return to place of assignment. Travel is mandated by USAREUR to be via a direct route.

A written authorization (DD Form 2285) for International Military Students to travel to, from, and between U.S. activities for the purpose of training under an approved and funded International Military Education and Training or Foreign Military Sales program.

A DD Form 1610 is a travel order that identifies travel pay lines of accounting and the types of travel pay authorized for temporary duty (TDY).

Block 8: TRAVEL ORDER/AUTHORIZATION NUMBER – You'll find this number on the upper left hand corner of your orders, if TCS orders, or from Box 22 of your DD Form1610. Invitational travel orders should have this number clearly indicated on the orders.
