Form 502CR is used to claim personal income tax credits for individuals (including resident fiduciaries).

Place Form PV with attached check/money order on TOP of Form 502 and mail to: Comptroller of Maryland Payment Processing PO Box 8888 Annapolis, MD 21401-8888 DIRECT DEPOSIT OF REFUND (See Instruction 22.)

Mailing Tips Write both the destination and return addresses clearly or print your mailing label and postage. If your tax return is postmarked by the filing date deadline, the IRS considers it on time. Mail your return in a USPS® blue collection box or at a Postal location that has a pickup time before the deadline.

You must file your Maryland return electronically to claim the business income tax credits available from Form 500CR. Tax-exempt organizations Organizations that are tax-exempt under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)3 may be eligible to claim certain business tax credits against their withholding taxes.

Generally, you are required to file a Maryland income tax return if: You are or were a Maryland resident; You are required to file a federal income tax return; and. Your Maryland gross income equals or exceeds the level listed below for your filing status.

You must use Form 502 if your federal adjusted gross income is $100,000 or more. All taxpayers may use Form 502. You must use this form if you itemize deductions, if you have any Maryland additions or subtractions, if you have made estimated payments or if you are claiming business or personal income tax credits.
