Get Tcfp License Plate Form

You must submit proof you are a volunteer firefighter certified by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP), or a volunteer firefighter certified by the State Firefighters' and Fire Marshals' Association of Texas (SFFMA), and are considered fire protection personnel as defined by Government Code, Section 419.021.

To get your Texas license plates and registration sticker, visit your local county tax-assessor collector office. You will need your insurance card, the Vehicle Inspection Report issued by the inspection station, and proof that you own the vehicle such as the registration or title from your previous state.

Submit the completed application and any required attachments to your local county tax assessor-collector's office to obtain general issue license plates for vehicles exempt from the payment of registration fees. Each vehicle must be titled in the name of the governmental entity.

To replace your plates, you will need to submit: The Application for Replacement License Plate(s) and/or Vehicle Registration Sticker (Form VTR-60). Any license plates still in your possession. Payment for the $6 replacement fee AND $1 automation fee.
