This course introduces the principles and concepts of biology. Emphasis is on basic biological chemistry, cell structure and function, metabolism and energy transformation, genetics, evolution, classification, and other related topics.

BIO. 111. Examines the fundamental molecular, cellular and genetic principles characterizing plants and animals. Includes cell structure and function and the metabolic processes of respiration and photosynthesis, as well as cell reproduction and basic concepts of heredity. This course includes laboratory experience.

BIO-110 Principles of Biology This course provides a survey of fundamental biological principles for non-science majors. Emphasis is placed on basic chemistry, cell biology, metabolism, genetics, evolution, ecology, diversity, and other related topics.
