How to fill out the 8050 1 online
Filling out the 8050 1 form accurately is crucial for a timely aircraft registration process. This guide provides clear, step-by-step instructions to help you complete the form effectively, minimizing delays and ensuring compliance with the Aircraft Registry's requirements.
Follow the steps to successfully complete the 8050 1 form online.
- Click 'Get Form' button to access the registration application and open it in the relevant format.
- Enter the N-number exactly as it appears on the aircraft. Accuracy is important to avoid processing delays.
- Fill in the manufacturer and model information precisely as stated on the Airworthiness Certificate.
- Input the serial number exactly as it is displayed on the data plate of the aircraft to ensure it matches official records.
- Select the type of registration. If the aircraft is co-owned, list the names of all other owners starting with the last name followed by the first name and initial.
- Provide a physical address. Note that P.O. Boxes are not acceptable as the sole address. If you use a P.O. Box, include a physical address to avoid delay.
- In the certification area, leave it blank unless you are a trust, resident alien, or non-citizen. If reporting a change of address, check the appropriate box.
- Under your signature, print your name in the same box. Do not print in the second box unless there is a co-owner. Ensure the title is listed as owner and include the date in the correct format (xx/xx/xxxx).
- After completing the form, remove and keep the pink copy as your temporary registration. This copy should be carried with the aircraft until you receive the permanent registration certificate.
- Send the completed form, the signed 8050-2 'Bill of Sale', and the $5.00 fee to the FAA Aircraft Registry Branch in Oklahoma City. Refer to the instruction page for the correct mailing address.
