Get CONTINUING EDUCATION (CE) CREDIT REQUEST FOR AN

Complete a minimum of 20 hours of CE each license term, including three hours of ethics CE training. The license term is defined as the two-year period beginning on the date the license was originally issued and ends two years later on the last day of the month that the license was originally issued.

CE is just the abbreviation for continuing education, so it's really more of a generic term. On the other hand, CEU (a continuing education unit) refers to a unit of credit equal to 10 hours of participation in an educational course or approved activity. The key here is choosing approved or accredited programs.

Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS) all qualify for Category 1 CME credits.

Basic and advanced life support certification These certifications are required for licensure, but they generally do not count toward CEUs needed to renew your license.

REQUIRED HOURS Producers in Colorado must take 24 hours of continuing education, 3 of those hours being in ethics every 2-year license term. Renewal must be met by the last days of the licensee's birth month.
