Remote Notarization is Not Authorized in Connecticut: The Executive Order of Governor Ned Lamont authorizing the use of remote notarization expired on July 1, 2021. Remote notarization is no longer authorized under Connecticut law.

Connecticut state law does not require that notaries obtain and use a seal or rubber stamp. Even though the use of a seal is optional, state law does prescribe the format of the seal to be used.
