- Click ‘Get Form’ button to obtain the form and open it in the editor.
- In the navigation panel on the left of the Point screen, locate and click the Templates tab. This area allows you to manage various templates.
- Select the Custom Forms/Letters/Email checkbox to specify the type of document you are working with.
- Press the New button to bring up the New Custom Form window where you will initiate the creation of your form.
- Enter a suitable name for the form you want to create in the designated field, ensuring it is descriptive enough for easy identification.
- Click OK to proceed from the New Custom Form window. This action will create a blank document for further editing.
- Microsoft Word will open with a blank document alongside the Point Custom Form window. Here, you can add merge fields.
- Utilize the Point Field dropdown list to insert the necessary fields into your document. If you need a specific field not available, select Other Point Fields Not Listed Above.
- Click Insert to access the Insert Point Field window, where you can enter the Field ID and insert it into your document.
- Once you have completed your custom form, click Save & Close to ensure your changes are recorded.
- To print your custom form, open a Prospect or Borrower file and go to the Menu bar, select File > Print. In the Borrower Forms window, access the Custom Forms tab.
- Select the document from the left pane and set the Output Option dropdown menu to Print Preview to check your document's readiness.
- When you are satisfied with the preview, switch the Output Option back to Print and click Print to finalize the process.
- If you have an existing document in MS Word that you want to import, in Point’s left navigation panel, click the Templates tab and select the Custom Forms/Letters/Email checkbox.
- Click the Import button at the top of the workspace and follow the prompts to select the Word document you wish to import for use as a custom form.
