The Oregon Judicial Department provides free online access to criminal case information via the Online Records Search feature also provided on the OJD website.

Requests may be submitted in person, by mail, online, or as otherwise specified by each circuit court. Online requests may be submitted via the Records Request Form or by visiting the circuit court's website. Visit our Self-Help Center? for more resources.

How do I request a public record? You must make a public records request to the government agency or official who has or controls the record. You may submit your request in writing, including email. All public bodies in Oregon must have a written procedure for making public records requests.

The right to a trial by jury in certain cases is guaranteed by our constitution. Any person who is entitled to a jury trial is entitled to a jury that represents the whole community. It is important that a fair cross section of our county's population is represented on the jury panel to prevent discrimination or bias.

The judge's decision is final. Once you receive your notice that the judgment was entered, you must send the defendant a written demand for payment. This letter must be sent by certified mail, return receipt requested. The Oregon Judicial Department does not provide forms for demand letters.

Additionally, each local circuit court has a free public access terminal where you can look up case information for most cases (state and federal law require courts to protect some information).

Uniform Trial Court Rule (UTCR) 5.1001 allows you to object to the proposed judgment or order. If you have no objections, you can sign the last page and return it to me. If you do object to any of the terms of the judgment or order, you may: 1) Contact me within 7 days of the date of this notice.

?Jury service is the civic duty of each citizen. Failure to respond to your jury summons may result in a warrant being issued for your arrest. You will then appear in court before a judge and show cause why you should not be held in contempt.

Compensation for jurors is $10 per day plus $2 per day for mileage. If your employer pays your wages while you are serving as a juror you must waive the daily fee. Juror fees, not including mileage, must be reported as income for tax purposes. The court does not provide records for income tax purposes.
