Alaska requires a business license for the privilege of engaging in business in the state. This can apply to any for-profit or non-profit entity — including a sole proprietorship — and regardless of whether it has a physical presence in the state.

In Alaska, a handwritten Will, also called a holographic Will, can be valid and enforceable. The same rules apply to handwritten Wills as apply to typed Wills, except with respect to the witness requirement.
