Each of the 50 states has between one and four district courts, and the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico each have a district court.

Dormancy periods in North Dakota vary by property type. Generally, most property types have a 2 or 3 year dormancy period. The bottom of each number plate must be at a height of not less than twelve inches 30.48 centimeters above the level surface upon which the vehicle stands. Each plate must be mounted in a visible manner that clearly displays the distinctive number assigned to the vehicle and the name of the state on the plate.

There is no specific age when a child's preference is the deciding factor in North Dakota. The court may listen to a child's wishes, but it's ultimately about what is best for the child. Older children's opinions may carry more weight, but the judge will evaluate the maturity and reasons behind their preference.

To do so, North Dakota Century Code § 14-15-19(2), requires both parents to sign away their rights in writing to the agency taking custody of the child or in the presence and with approval of a judge.
