Add Field Settings Electronic Storage Templates For Free

Field Templates are reusable layers of fields that can be applied to any document. Templates are ideal if you have one field layout that works for multiple documents or a document that can be sent several different ways. Field Templates can be edited and shared with your group or account like document templates.

You add a unique set of signing fields for each recipient. Note: If you cannot add fields to the documents and templates you create, this is most likely because of your user permission profile. Contact your administrator and ask to adjust your permission settings.

If you have access to templates shared with you by other users, you may be able to edit these as well. Note: Your access to templates is controlled by your user permissions, as defined by your administrator. If you cannot create or edit, or even use templates, check with your administrator.

To create a Form Field Layer: Click eDocs. Click Template Library. Click +Add Template to Library. Enter a template name (for example, "8879 field layer"). Attach the generic 8879 printed from your tax software. Click Preview and Add Fields. Click Template Properties. For Template Type, choose Reusable Form Field Layer.

Select the page you want to add fields to from the page guide. Use the Fields menu to click and drag the fields you want into your document. Repeat steps 6?8 for all the recipients, pages, and fields you want to add to the document. Once you've added all the fields you want, click Send.

Create Custom Fields for Documents In eSignature Admin, select Document Custom Fields. Select ADD DOCUMENT FIELD. Enter a name for the custom field. Select the type of field you want to create from the Type menu, for example, Date Signed, Drop Down or Radio Button. Select SAVE to save your custom field.
