You can apply for one preference point for each species you are eligible for each year. The application period is July 1-Oct. 31. You apply online. There is no application fee to purchase a preference point only, but you will pay the credit card fee.

No one may hold more than 3 preference points. Those who do not apply for a combination license may purchase one preference point for $100 over the counter from July 1 through December 31.

Landowner Preference applicants are limited to 15% of drawing based quotas. For Deer Permits, Deer B Licenses, & Antelope Licenses: To qualify for landowner preference, you must own or be contracting to purchase at least 160 acres of land in the hunting district for which you are applying.
