In Utah, divorce documents can be served through the mail or in person. Whether delivery is by mail or in person, the receiving party's signature is required as a proof for the court that the documents were received.

A party or other person may serve documents electronically directly, by an agent, or through a designated electronic filing service provider.

These rules may be known and cited as the Utah Rules of Civil Procedure, or abbreviated U.R.C.P.

A party against whom a claim, counterclaim, or cross-claim is asserted or a declaratory judgment is sought may move for summary judgment at any time. Unless the court orders otherwise, a party may file a motion for summary judgment at any time no later than 28 days after the close of all discovery.
