How does the waiver wire work? When a player is on waivers, any team can claim them if they wish to add him to their roster. The team with the highest waiver wire priority acquires the player and then subsequently is tasked with integrating the player into their 53-man roster.

Managers are ranked from high to low to determine who wins a waiver claim. The initial priority rank is determined by the league's draft: Every time a manager's claim is successful, they drop to the bottom of the priority list. The priority list is never reset.

Waivers process daily sometime between 3 am to 5am ET. Once that time has passed, they either clear waivers, meaning no one has claimed them, or they enter the free-agent pool. The unclaimed players can now be acquired on a first-come, first-serve basis, without affecting your team's waiver position.

When more than one team requests a player in waivers, the player is awarded to the team with the best waiver position (closer to 1). When a claim is resolved, the waiver position for the team that receives the player is changed to the lowest possible priority (10), and all the other teams move up a position.

The League Manager (LM) has the option of modifying waiver settings and player signings allowed during the season. NOTE: This setting cannot be changed after the league has drafted.
