Decline ESigning Document For Free

Politely decline, and communicate to those offering the contract, simply, that you do not find the obligation fair and acceptable.

Voiding stops recipients from viewing or signing the document. You can also void an envelope to stop email notifications to a recipient if the recipient does not want to or need to sign the envelope: If you are the signer and you wish to void or cancel an envelope, you can decline to sign to cancel the envelope.

Navigate to your signature. Right-click. Select Clear Signature.

Provide a reason why you are declining to sign to the envelope sender. The sender of the document may require you to provide a reason why you're declining. The text you enter is emailed to the sender and is recorded as part of the envelope history. After providing a reason why you are declining, select DECLINE TO SIGN.

When you decline to sign, it voids the entire envelope for you and all other recipients of the envelope. Before declining to sign a document, ask the sender of the envelope a question by posting a comment to the envelope.

You could also set Recipient 1 to "Needs to Sign" and use something like an Approve and Decline buttons to allow that Recipient 1 to decide to move that envelope forward (Accept) or void the envelope (Decline) without having to Sign.

You can only Correct or Void envelopes in an In-process state: Created, Sent and Delivered. Once an envelope is in a terminal state: Completed (signed), Declined and Voided it can no longer be Corrected or Voided. You will need to contact the sender to negotiate with the sender to delete the document.
