A NJ State Park Service Special Use Permit is required for various types of short-duration, organized activities and/or events within a state park, forest and/or historic site.

Age 62 or older. Provides free entrance to all state park, forest, recreation area and historic site facilities that charge daily walk-in or parking fees, as well as a $2 per night discount on campsite fees (excluding group campsites). The senior citizen pass is valid for your lifetime.

The State Park Pass is available for New Jersey residents at $50; Non-Resident $75, providing free entrance for one calendar year to the state parks and forests facilities that charge daily walk-in or parking fees.

Picnic Permits & Reservations If you have less than 20 people, you are not required to have a permit; however, it is the only way to guarantee that your desired location will be available.

New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection A completed Special Use Permit Application must be submitted to the NJ State Park Service at least 90 days prior to the organized activity and/or event. If the organized activity and/or event is large and/or complex, at least one-year's prior notice is recommended.

A Zoning Permit is required for anything that also requires a Building Permit, but is also required for the construction of any impervious surfaces such as driveways or patios, or decks, sheds or any accessory structure and fences.
