Break Statement is a loop control statement that is used to terminate the loop. As soon as the break statement is encountered from within a loop, the loop iterations stop there, and control returns from the loop immediately to the first statement after the loop.

You can use break to exit for loops and while loops. Break only exits the innermost loop in a nested loop. You can't use break to exit an if statement unless the if statement is inside of a loop.

The break statement is used with the conditional switch statement and with the do, for, and while loop statements. In a switch statement, the break statement causes the program to execute the next statement outside the switch statement.

The break statement can use a label reference, to break out of any JavaScript code block (see "More Examples" below). Without a label, break can only be used inside a loop or a switch.

An IF statement is executed based on the occurrence of a certain condition. IF statements must begin with the keyword IF and terminate with the keyword END.

Break statement stops the entire process of the loop. Continue statement only stops the current iteration of the loop. Break also terminates the remaining iterations. Continue doesn't terminate the next iterations; it resumes with the successive iterations.
