Statement Hide Data For Free

The HIDE statement is one of the fundamental statements for interactive reporting. You use the HIDE technique when creating a basic list. It defines the information that can be passed to subsequent detail lists. Use the statements READ LINE and READ CURRENT LINE to read data from the lines of existing list levels.

CHECK statement terminates a loop pass based on a condition. If the condition in the CHECK statement is evaluated to false then all the remaining statements in the statement block after the CHECK statement are ignored, and the next loop pass starts.

You use the HIDE technique while creating a list level to store line-specific information for later use. To do so, use the HIDE statement as follows: HIDE <f>. This statement places the contents of the variable <f> for the current output line (system field SYLINNO) into the HIDE area.

To do this, ABAP/4 provides the HIDE statement. This statement stores the current field contents for the current list line. When calling a secondary list from a list line for which the HIDE fields are stored, the system fills the stored values back into the variables in the program.

Right click on created table/block then you will see format table option and in General tab you have to change settings as below . Here by default show rows with empty all measure values will be enabled just disable this option then empty measure values will be hidden in the report.
