Spread Out Email License For Free

To access a shared mailbox, a user must have an Exchange Online license, but the shared mailbox doesn't require a separate license.

A shared mailbox is just that, a mailbox that can be shared with one or more users. Shared mailboxes do not require a license and have all of the features of a normal mailbox; they have an inbox, a calendar, a contact list etc. Shared mailboxes appear as separate mailboxes in Outlook and Outlook on the web.

It is possible to assign/unassign licenses in bulk. Sign in to Office 365 with your admin credentials. Navigate to the admin center. Navigate to Users > Active Users. Check the boxes next to users who you want to assign/unassign licenses for > click Manage product licenses in the ribbon above the list of the users.

Go Office 365 Admin Center > Active Users > choose unlicensed > select the specific shared mailbox to give it a license.

Send email from another user's mailbox Select the name of the user (from whom you plan to give a sending permission) to open their properties pane. On the Mail tab, select Send as permissions. Select Add permissions, then choose the name of the person who you want this user to be able to send as. Select Add.

Select the name of the user whose email you want to forward to open the properties page. Expand Mail settings, and then in the Email forwarding section, select Edit. On the email forwarding page, set the toggle to On, enter the forwarding address, and choose whether you want to keep a copy of forwarded emails.

Licenses: Your shared mailbox can store up to 50GB of data without you assigning a license to it. After that, you need to assign a license to the mailbox to store more data.
