No. You've probably noticed that Split Toning is gone; it's been replaced by Color Grading. But don't worry: Color Grading is 100% compatible with the old Split Toning. Color Grading is an extension of Split Toning ? it can do everything Split Toning did, plus much more.

The split toning panel consists of three sections: Highlights, Balance and Shadows. You have two sliders each for the highlights and the shadows. Plus, a single slider to control the balance of toning between the highlights and shadows. It is possible to tone just the highlights, or just the shadows.

Split toning can use a single color or two colors. When working with two colors, choosing complementary colors is ideal. Complementary colors are opposite each other on the color wheel, like orange-blue, red-green, or yellow-purple. Analogous color schemes can also work well for split toning too.

The new version of the tool is called Color Grading. In Lightroom Classic, this tool is located in the Develop module. In Lightroom CC, the tool is part of the Color panel. The principle is the same as Split Toning, but the look is different.
