If you want to resize a comment box, move the mouse pointer to one of the sizing handles on the corners or sides until it turns into a plus sign with arrows. Then, click and drag one of the handles to resize the comment box to your preferred size.

If you want all comment boxes to be the same size, hold down the "Shift" key while you click on each box you want to resize. Then, click on one of the boxes and drag it to the desired size. All of the other selected boxes will change size ingly.

If you just need to auto-size a range of cell comment boxes, you can use the following VBA code. Hold down the ALT + F11 keys, and it opens the Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications window. Click Insert > Module, and paste the following macro in the Module window.

To display all comments in the worksheet, go to the Review tab > Show all Comments. To move or resize any overlapping comments, right-click and select Edit Comment, and the border of the comment box will display sizing handles.

5. Ctrl+Shift+R: This shortcut will open the Resize Comment dialog box. From here, you can change the size of the comment box.

To change the default size of a comment box in Excel, select the cell where the comment has been placed. Then right-click and choose Show/ Hide Comments. Click anywhere on the edge of the comment box. Now take the mouse pointer over the little square that appears in the lower-right corner of the comment box.

Change the column width to automatically fit the contents (auto fit) Select the column or columns that you want to change. Go to Home > Cells > Format. Under Cell Size, select AutoFit Column Width.
