Press Ctrl+. to trigger the Quick Actions and Refactorings menu. Select Add file header. To apply the file header to an entire project or solution, select Project or Solution under the Fix all occurrences in: option. The Fix all occurrences dialog will open where you can preview the changes.

Changing License Headers for Project Select a license template, and then click Open in Editor. NetBeans will open a new editor just like the code editor. Once you have done editing, press Ctrl + S to save the changes. From now on, NetBeans will append the selected license to every new Java file you create.

Go to preferences -> Java -> Code Style -> Code Templates, expands Code and select ?New Java Files?, edit the template to add whatever copyright messages you want. Now, that copyright message will be injected on every newly created Java class.

Press Ctrl Alt 0S to open the IDE settings and then select Editor | Copyright. From the Default project copyright list, select the profile you want to use as the default profile. Click Apply to save the changes and close the dialog. After that you can add the copyright to the necessary files.
