In a limited review, the interim financial information is expected to be analytically reviewed and inquiry procedures are conducted to identify whether the interim financial information is free from material misstatement.

Towards this end, Regulation 33 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 (hereinafter referred to as ?the listing Regulations, 2015?), has prescribed various disclosures to be filed under various provisions contained therein in the formats as may be specified by the Board.

A Limited Review is a much easier process than a Full Condominium Review.

Limited Review means an examination of financial transactions, accounts and, reports, an evaluation of internal controls, or an evaluation of compliance with applicable laws and regulations that which is limited in scope to examine only certain areas.

An important difference between an audit and a review is that an audit provides more reasonable assurance, whereas a review does not and the accountant does not express an opinion.

Apparently with a view to make disclosure more stringent and widen the scope of disclosures, SEBI introduced two new clauses pertaining to regulatory actions, as clause 19 and 20, in Schedule III.
