Resize Break Settlement For Free

Drop a bunch of weapons on the ground from your inventory, then go into build mode and "store" each one. DO NOT SCRAP THEM or they will be gone. This will trick the game into thinking that you have opened up more space and allow you to build more.

Each settlement has a default max population of 10 settlers plus each point of Charisma the character has, which has a base max of 22 (10 from leveling and +1 from bobblehead and You're SPECIAL! magazine respectively ) before factoring in extra charisma from armor and consumables.

The size limit and current size used are actually attributes against the workbench in the settlement itself and differ between settlements. This is calculated based on the number of objects in the settlement in combination with the size and complexity of the objects.

Go into build model, and start scrapping. The game will take this as if you were scrapping objects in the settlement, and thus lowering the size meter. You can do this with junk items as well, and everything is sent to your workshop!

The following worked for me: Go to any workbench in any settlement and open the console (NB this seems to be ' on my keyboard rather than ~) Click on bench so that it is selected in the console. Now type modav 34b 1000 and your budget will increase by 1000.

How do I get rid of the size limit in Fallout 4? On PC you can open the console, select the workbench of the settlement you want to build at and type ?setav 349 3675555555.00? and then ?setav 34B 3675555555.00?. You might have to exit and enter build mode again if you were in it when you did the commands.
