Residents of the United States have ZIP codes instead of postal codes. ZIP codes are five-digit numbers, such as the famous 90210.

Most companies where you use credit or debit cards to order merchandise require you to give at least the zip code of your billing address that is on file with your bank. If the one you provide does not match the bank's records, most likely your order will require more research and possibly be delayed for shipping.

The ZIP code for a Visa credit card is usually just the ZIP code from the cardholder's current mailing address. These codes are not printed on Visa credit cards, but you can double-check a Visa card's ZIP code by looking at digital and mailed billing statements from the credit card company.

Your order will be rejected, as your credit card company will not approve it. Reenter it with the correct zipcode. Most Credit card companies will give you 3 tried before they shut down the card.
