Report any serious risk of harm - if you believe that the individual is getting messages from an individual or has seen content online and has taken action then you should report it to the police. If the individual is a child then you can report directly to the Child Exploitation and Online Protection command (CEOP).

When something gets reported to Facebook, we'll review it and take action on anything we determine doesn't follow our Community Standards. Unless you're reporting an incident of intellectual property infringement, your report will be kept confidential and the account you reported won't see who reported them.

Go to the comment you want to report. Tap and hold on the comment. Select Report Comment. Follow the on-screen instructions.

When you report a piece of content (example: post, comment, story) to us, we will take action to hide or remove that content from Instagram if we find that it goes against our Community Guidelines.

Nudity or other sexually suggestive content. Hate speech, credible threats or direct attacks on an individual or group. Content that contains self-harm or excessive violence.

Community Guidelines strikes Channels that receive three strikes within a 90-day period will be terminated. Channels that are dedicated to violating our policies or that have a single case of severe abuse of the platform will bypass our strikes system and be terminated.

When you report a comment on Instagram, it goes through a review process to determine if the comment violates Instagram's Community Guidelines. If the comment is found to be in violation, the comment will be removed and the account that posted the comment may be penalized.
