Beginning after adolescence, adulthood is sometimes divided into young adulthood (roughly 20 to 35 years of age); middle adulthood (about 36 to 64 years); and later adulthood (age 65 and beyond).

Reporting median and interquartile range You should report the median with the same number of decimal places as the original data and the interquartile range with parentheses and a comma. You should also use a lowercase "m" for median and an uppercase "IQR" for interquartile range.

APA style is very precise about these. Mean and Standard Deviation are most clearly presented in parentheses: The sample as a whole was relatively young (M = 19.22, SD = 3.45). The average age of students was 19.22 years (SD = 3.45).
